I’ve got to let it out – I hate them. The annoying silent death that swoops around at MACH 50 on the pavements where I live, tearing up old grannies on walkers and Mum’s with kids. Is it like this everywhere? Are e scooters now taking over the world ala South Park? Does anybody else look at them and shudder as you imagine the mangled corpses that would be the result of a collision? I thought push bikes where bad enough….and yes I’m guilty of riding without a helmet. but there’s something far more menacing about the e scooter. Maybe it’s because they seem to use the pavements to zip around. I realize that there’s no choice, because god forbid someone’s insane enough to start driving one on the road like the bloke I saw the other day. Imagine an e scooter and an articulated truck. What sort of chance do you have if things go wrong? You’d be like a bug on a windshield….splat. Do e scooter riders have no imagination? I think they should be corralled somewhere like a big sport stadium. Then all the annoying bastards who use them can zoom around to their hearts content and crash into each other in mildly less bloody ways. E scooters…..brrrrrrr.
